Subject: Setting up of Sub-Regional Office of ESIC at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

Sir,

The proposal for setting up of a Sub-Regional Office (SRO) of the ESI Corporation at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh was placed before the 198th meeting of ESI Corporation held on 30.06.2026 as Agenda Item No. 21. The proposal has been approved by the ESI Corporation.

SRO, Jabalpur shall have jurisdiction over the districts of Anuppur, Balaghat, Chhindwara, Damoh, Dindori, Jabalpur, Katni, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Panna, Rewa, Satna, Seoni, Shahdol, Sidhi, Singrauli, Umaria, Maihar, Mauganj and Pandhurna. The Branch Offices/DCBOs, if any, in these districts shall be under the jurisdiction of SRO, Jabalpur.

Accordingly, it is requested to complete all necessary preparatory works for operationalisation of SRO, Jabalpur, including identification of suitable premises.

Banking arrangements, creation of separate Revenue Code/Accounting Unit in ERP, Insurance Module of ESIC etc. shall be made in consultation with the concerned Divisions of Headquarters Office for operationalisation of SRO, Jabalpur at the earliest.

As per the directions of the ESI Corporation, no new posts are to be created for the proposed SROs for the time being and the manpower requirement is to be catered through existing sanctioned strength of R.O./SRO as applicable.Accordingly, necessary action regarding deployment/posting of manpower for SRO, Jabalpur may be taken.

This may be treated as most urgent.
