Extension of Time – Public Consultation on the Draft ‘Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025’
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has published the draft ‘Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025’ (Rules) on its website on 3rd January 2025 for public consultation. Feedback/comments from the stakeholders on the draft Rules were invited until 18^th February, 2025. In response to the representations received from several stakeholders, the Ministry has decided to extend the last date for receipt of feedback/comments till 5^th March 2025.
Both the draft Rules and the DPDP Act, 2023 can be accessed at: https://www.meity.gov.in/data-protection-framework. Feedback/comments on the draft Rules can be submitted on: https://innovateindia.mygov.in/dpdp-rules-2025/
