L.-33004/99 xxxGIDHxxx xxxGIDExxx असाधारण EXTRAORDINARY भाग II—खण् ड 3—उप-खण् ड (i) PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (i) प्राजधकार से प्रकाजित PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY पर्ाावरण, वन और िलवार्ु पररवतान मंत्रालर् अजधसूचना नई दिल्ली, 18 मई, 2026 सा.का.जन. 371(अ).— केंद्रीर् सरकार, पर्ाावरण (संरक्षण) अजधजनर्म, 1986, (1986 का 29) की धारा 23 द्वारा प्रित्त िजिर्ों का प्रर्ोग करते हुए और माननीर् उच् चतम न्र्ार्ालर् के तारीख 5 मई 2026 के आिेि (जसजवल अपील संख्र्ा 6174, 2023) में दिए गए जनिेिों के अनुसरण में, अजधजनर्म की धारा 5 के अधीन स्ट्वर्ं में जनजित िजिर्ों को, िेि भर के सभी जिला कलेक्टरों को इस अजधसूचना के प्रकािन की तारीख से एक वर्ा की अवजध के जलए प्रत्र्ार्ोजित करती िै, र्ि प्रत्र्ार्ोिन जविेर् रूप से उनके अजधकार क्षेत्र की सीमाओं के भीतर 'ठोस अपजिष्ट प्रबंधन जनर्म, 2026' के पर्ावेक्षण, प्रिासन और कार्ाान्वर्न के जलए, र्ि प्रत्र्ार्ोिन इस िता के अधीन िै दक केंद्रीर् सरकार पूरे िेि के जिला कलेक्टरों के संबंध में िजिर्ों के ऐसे प्रत्र्ार्ोिन को प्रजतसंहृत कर सकती िै, अथवा स्ट्वर्ं अजधजनर्म की धारा 5 के उपबंधों का आलंब ले सकती िै; र्दि केंद्रीर् सरकार की रार् में, िनजित में ऐसी कारावाई करना आवश्र्क िो। [फा. सं. 11/11/2026-एचएसएम] उिर् चौधरी, संर्ुक् त सजचव सं. 336] नई दिल्ली, सोमवार, मई 18, 2026/वैिाख 28, 1948 No. 336] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, MAY 18, 2026/VAISAKHA 28, 1948 सी.जी.-डी.एल.-अ.-18052026-272666 CG-DL-E-18052026-272666 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)] MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 18th May, 2026 G.S.R. 371(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 23 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and pursuant to the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Order dated the 5th May, 2026, in Civil Appeal No. 6174 of 2023, the Central Government hereby delegates the powers vested in it under section 5 of the Act to all the District Collectors across the country for a period of one year from the date of publication of this notification, exclusively for supervising, administering and implementing Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, within their jurisdictional limits, subject to the condition that the Central Government may revoke such delegation of powers in respect of District Collectors across the country or may itself invoke the provisions of section 5 of the Act, if in the opinion of the Central Government such course of action is necessary in public interest.
