सा.का.नि. 753(अ).— केंद्रीय सरकार एकीकृत वक्फ प्रबंधन, सशक्तीकरण, दक्षता और विकास अधिनियम, 1995 (1995 का 43) की धारा 12 की उपधारा (1) एवं (2) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केंद्रीय वक़्फ़ परिषद नियमावली, 1998 में आगे संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है, अर्थात्:—

1. संक्षिप्त शीर्षक और प्रारंभ.— (1) इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम केंद्रीय वक्फ परिषद (संशोधन) नियमावली, 2026 है।

(2) ये राजपत्र में उनके प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होंगे।

2. केंद्रीय वक्फ परिषद नियमावली, 1998 के नियम 7 में, उप-नियम (1) के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित उप-नियम प्रतिस्थापित किया जाएगा, अर्थात्:-

“(1) परिषद के लिए एक सचिव होगा।”

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 18th August, 2026

G.S.R. 753(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 12 of the Unified Waqf Management, Empowerment, Efficiency and Development Act, 1995 (43 of 1995), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Waqf Council Rules, 1998, namely:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Central Waqf Council (Amendment) Rules, 2026.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Central Waqf Council Rules, 1998, in rule 7, for sub-rule(1), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:-

"(1) There shall be a Secretary to the Council".

Note: The principal rules were published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub- section (i), vide notification number G.S.R. 593(E) dated the 30th September, 1998 and subsequently amended, vide numbers G.S.R 240 (E), dated the 22nd March, 2012, G.S.R 693 (E), dated the 25th September, 2014, G.S.R. 532(E), dated the 2nd July, 2015 and G.S.R. 344(E), dated the 9th May, 2022.
