Sir/Madam,

Subject: 6th Edition of Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters - regarding

Reference: D.O. No. 502/2/2/2024-CA.V/CA.III dated 05.08.2026 from the Cabinet Secretary, Government of India.

With reference to the D.O. letter cited above, it is to inform that the 6th Edition of the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters is proposed to be conducted from 02.10.2026 to 31.10.2026, with emphasis on “Effective collection, segregation and disposal of e-waste.”

In compliance with the aforesaid D.O. letter, all Field Units are requested to undertake the Special Campaign during the stipulated period and take necessary action for its effective implementation.

During the campaign, all Field Units shall accord focused attention to the following:

• Identification and collection of e-waste lying in offices/premises.
• Proper segregation of e-waste from other waste/material.
• Disposal of e-waste through authorised channels in accordance with applicable rules and procedures.
• Review and disposal of pending matters/records, wherever applicable, as part of the Special Campaign.
• Maintenance of appropriate records/documentation of the activities undertaken and action taken during the campaign.
• Furnishing of requisite information/reports regarding the progress and outcome of the campaign to the concerned authority, as and when required.

All concerned are requested to accord priority to the Special Campaign and ensure effective implementation of the campaign within the stipulated period.
