Reference is invited to MSU Branch Office Memorandum No. G-21011/1/2026-MSU dated 13.08.2026, regarding the Delegation of Powers (DoP) of Medical Superintendents (MS) of standalone ESIC Hospitals.
In this regard, certain queries have been raised seeking clarification regarding the wording of the relevant provision of the DoP(D/24).
It is hereby clarified that the spacing in the said provision was inadvertently introduced due to a typographical error. The provision may, therefore, be read as under:
“Full powers subject to budget availability for purchase through DG ESIC/RC/GeM/Jan Aushadhi in consultation with Finance and Accounts Branch for any tender including local empanelled chemist.”
The above clarification is issued to remove any ambiguity arising from the inadvertent spacing error. The remaining provisions of the DoP shall remain unchanged.
