No. IRDAI/Reg/19/109/2015 - In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 26(1) of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 1999 (41 of 1999), the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India, in consultation with the Insurance Advisory Committee, hereby makes the following Regulations to amend the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (Insurance Advertisements and Disclosure) Regulations, 2000 namely:— Short Title and commencement 1. (1)These Regulations may be called Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Insurance Advertisements and Disclosure) (Amendment) Regulations, 2015. (2) These Regulations shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Regulation 9 of IRDA (Insurance Advertisements and Disclosure) Regulations, 2000 is amended by omitting Section 9(i). The amended Regulation 9 shall be read as under : “Identity of advertiser 9. Every advertisement for insurance shall state the full registered name of the insurer/ intermediary/insurance agent.” T. S.
