भारतीय बीमा विनियामक और विकास प्राधिकरण (विनियामक सैंडबाक्स) (संशोधन) विनियम, 2021

फा. सं. भा. बी. वि. वि. प्रा. / विनियम / 3 / 175 / 2021.—बीमा विनियामक और विकास प्राधिकरण अधिनियम, 1999 (1999 का 41) की धारा 14(2)(ङ) और 26 के साथ पठित बीमा अधिनियम, 1938 की धारा 114ए की उप-धारा 2 के खंड (जेडडी) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, प्राधिकरण बीमा सलाहकार समिति के साथ परामर्श करने के बाद, भारतीय बीमा विनियामक और विकास प्राधिकरण (विनियामक सैंडबाक्स) विनियम, 2019 का संशोधन करने के लिए इसके द्वारा निम्नलिखित विनियम बनाता है, अर्थात् :-

अध्याय I

1. संक्षिप्त नाम और प्रारंभः

• 1.1 ये विनियम भारतीय बीमा विनियामक और विकास प्राधिकरण (विनियामक सैंडबाक्स) (संशोधन) विनियम, 2021 कहलाएँगे।
• 1.2 ये विनियम सरकारी राजपत्र में इनके प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होंगे।

2. उद्देश्य खंड – इन विनियमों का उद्देश्य भारतीय बीमा विनियामक और विकास प्राधिकरण (विनियामक सैंडबाक्स) विनियम, 2019 का संशोधन 2 वर्ष की अवधि के लिए इनकी विधिमान्यता को बढाने के लिए करना है। यह वर्तमान सैंडबाक्स प्रस्तावों के प्रयोग के समापन को संभव बनाने एवं साथ ही, प्रयोग के लिए नये सैंडबाक्स प्रस्तावों को अनुमति देने के उद्देश्य से भी है।

3. विनियमन 1 के उप विनियमन (3) में, शब्द “2 वर्ष” के लिए शब्द “4 वर्ष” प्रतिस्थापित किये जाएँगे।

Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Regulatory Sandbox) (Amendment) Regulations, 2021

F. No. IRDAI / Reg / 3 / 175 / 2021.— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (zd) of sub-section 2 of section 114A of Insurance Act, 1938 read with Section 14(2)(e) and 26 of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 1999 (41 of 1999), the Authority, in consultation with the Insurance Advisory Committee, hereby makes the following regulations to amend Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Regulatory Sandbox) Regulations, 2019, namely :-

CHAPTER I

1. Short Title and commencement:

• 1.1 These Regulations may be called the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Regulatory Sandbox) (Amendment) Regulations, 2021.
• 1.2 These Regulations shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Objective clause – The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Regulatory Sandbox) Regulations, 2019 to extend its validity for a period of 2 years. This is with a view to enabling the completion of experiment of the existing sandbox proposals and also to allow new sandbox proposals for experiment.

3. In sub regulation (3) of Regulation 1, for the words “2 years”, the words “4 years” shall be substituted.
